Beggs – Exercise: Jug and Apple

One of the joys of painting at the Montsalvat artist retreat near Eltham Victoria is that many of the buildings are made of wattle and daub. These walls provide interesting backdrops.

The items to paint there are old, worn and would have to be some of the most closely-examined objects in Victoria. This old blue jug had a piece cracked off, and the colour was a bit of work to match. And an apple. Always an apple. Hmmm.
